1. Introduction

Merakify ("we," "our," or "us") is an AI Creative Studio operated by Pravaha Labs from V.P. Dr. P.G. Halakatti College of Engineering, Vijayapur, Karnataka, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you use our platform at merakify.ai — including Creator Studio, Advertisement Studio, Music Studio, Video Editor, Creative Vault, Meraki AI and the Credits & Plans system.

By using Merakify, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed). If you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your Google profile name and email address.

2.2 Creative Content You Upload & Generate

We store the scripts, storyboards, characters, scenes, video renders, audio, music tracks, uploaded reference images and all other creative assets you produce inside Merakify. Assets are organised in your Creative Vault so you can reuse them across projects.

2.3 Billing & Credits Data

When you purchase a subscription or a credit pack, our payment processor (Razorpay) collects the necessary payment credentials directly. We store the resulting order, invoice metadata (invoice number, amount, GST, credits added) and the subscription state (plan, billing cycle, renewal date). We never see or store your card number.

2.4 Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, AI generations requested, timestamps, and device/browser information.

2.4 Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage tokens (JWT) to maintain your authentication session. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. Google AdSense, if enabled on public pages, may use cookies for ad personalization as per Google's policies.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Merakify platform
  • To process your creative content through AI analysis features
  • To authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • To communicate with you about updates, features, or support requests
  • To monitor usage patterns and improve platform performance
  • To display relevant advertisements through Google AdSense

4. Third-Party Services

To provide AI-powered features, your story content (or excerpts) may be processed by the following third-party services:

  • OpenAI (GPT-4o) — Text analysis, story generation, script evaluation
  • Google Gemini — Multi-turn story analysis, storyboard generation
  • Leonardo AI — Character image generation, storyboard visuals, HD upscaling
  • Google OAuth — Social login authentication
  • Google AdSense — Advertisement display and personalization

Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We send only the minimum content necessary for the requested feature. We do not sell your content to any third party.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in secure MongoDB databases. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted passwords (bcrypt), JWT authentication tokens, and HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

  • Access — View all your projects, invoices and account data inside the platform
  • Correction — Edit your profile, projects and Creative Vault at any time
  • Deletion — Delete individual projects and vault items. For full account deletion, contact us at hello@merakify.ai
  • Export — Download all rendered assets, invoices (PDF/HTML) and project data at any time
  • Cancellation — Cancel or downgrade your subscription anytime from Plans & Billing. Credits earned before cancellation remain usable until they expire per your plan.

7. Children's Privacy

Merakify is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
